Walking dogs on Richardson Bay

High quality water is more than the dream of the conservationists, more than a political slogan; high quality water, in the right quantity at the right place at the right time, is essential to health, recreation, and economic growth.

— Edmund S. Muskie,
U.S. Senator

How to Run for the Board of Directors

The Richardson Bay Sanitary District has five positions representing the residents of parts of the Tiburon Peninsula and the Unincorporated Area of Strawberry on its Board of Directors. All positions are for 4-year terms and the elections are staggered for members every two years on even calendar years.

If a sitting Board member resigns prior to an election year, the Board will accept applications from candidates to fill the office until the next election cycle. Interviews are conducted at regular Board meetings.
Information on current Election including forms, filing information, and important dates can be found on the Marin County Election Services Office.
